Eight rules.
The whole game.
Short enough to read at the bar, strong enough to keep the table honest. If you can’t live with these, this isn’t your room.
How to be a member.
- 01
Pay €14 a month or €140 a year to read the volume. By application — every reader is reviewed, every cent stays sponsorship-free.
- 02
Save what you love. Confirm what stays good. One confirm per place every 90 days. Disappointed? Two of you flag it the same week and we hear it.
How chips and stakes work.
- 03
Annual members get one free €100 chip on day one. Monthly members unlock the same chip after twelve consecutive months. €100 to stake any chip after that — in any city you have member access to.
- 04
A stake is alive with 5+ confirms or 25+ saves from paying members in 90 days. Saves count too, because demand is also a signal. Floor: 1 confirm in any 180-day window, or the stake retires.
- 05
One stake per place, ever. Eight active stakes per city, lifetime. No one owns a city.
Why the deep cuts pay more.
- 06
Pool share is multiplied by The Hidden Test — four automated signals scored at submission: press silence, review depth (under 200), foot-traffic floor (under 100 user photos), search obscurity (not in top 30). Open (0–1 yes) earns 1.0×. Hidden (2 yes): 1.4×. Pilgrimage (3–4 yes): 1.8×. The tier locks the day you stake — if the place goes famous later, you keep your multiplier.
How the pool works.
- 07
The pool has two sources: 40% of every membership fee, plus 90% of every paid stake (The Cazuela keeps 10% as a marketplace fee — same range as Substack and Etsy). Every save and confirm by a paying member grows your trust. Trust resets monthly — you earn from this month, not last year. Nobody takes more than 5% of the pool in a month. The Cazuela never takes a euro out of the pool — only fees at the door.
What we’ll never do.
- 08
No reviews, no paid placement, no gifted meals, no selling your data. We close before we break this.
